In the beginning of 2002, the Sordoni Foundation challenged the United Way of Wyoming Valley to raise $1 Million for the Endowment Fund and the Foundation would match, dollar for dollar, every dollar raised toward the Fund. Hence, potentially increasing the Endowment Fund by $2 Million dollars within the calendar year. |
