The United Way of Wyoming Valley's Planned Giving Program

What is the Legacy Society?

The newly established Legacy Society of United Way of Wyoming Valley has an ambitious but vitally important goal.  That goal – the attainment of a $20,000,000 endowment – will secure the long-term success of United Way, ensuring that its vital services will always be here for our community. United Way is addressing the changing face of fundraising and making shifts as trends change. Click here to learn more about the United Way of Wyoming Valley's Legacy Society and its members.

The Sordoni Foundation's $1 Million Challenge Match.

In the beginning of 2002, the Sordoni Foundation challenged the United Way of Wyoming Valley to raise $1 Million for the Endowment Fund and the Foundation would match, dollar for dollar, every dollar raised toward the Fund. Hence, potentially increasing the Endowment Fund by $2 Million dollars within the calendar year.

How do I contribute to the Legacy Society?

Investing in the future of our community through the United Way Endowment Fund will help secure vital services in the Wyoming Valley for future generations. There are several options on ways to give if you are interested in making a gift of ongoing significance.
