DAY OF CARING

image1"Day of Caring" is a one-day effort where hundreds of volunteers throughout the Wyoming Valley come together to build a better community, one project, one day at a time.

It offers companies and United Way participating and nonparticpating organizations the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community through direct interaction, and allows volunteers the chance to learn, first-hand how their contributions benefit the community.

Since its inception, "Day of Caring" has been considered a way to vitalize the workplace campaignimage2 efforts.  It continues to offer organizations:

image3- an opportunity for team buiding

- a proven morale booster for employees

- a chance for employees to help others through hands-on experience

- an opportunity for employees to see how agencies benefit from donors' support

- the chance for companies to position themselves as good  corporate neighbors.
