The phone rang one cold morning in October. A strange voice on the other end of the line introduced himself as Mr. B. B. Wolfe, lawyer for Jamie Calderline. It was his sad duty to inform me of his employer's passing. Jamie Calderline, scholar, author and my friend was dead.

This news came as a shock to me as I had just spoken to Jamie recently. He was excitedly explaining the premise of his latest children's book. A collection of fairy tales that were to be his crowning achievement. He wanted me to be the first to read his creation. I was of course flattered and planned to visit him when I completed my end of year's duties at Wilkes University.

The next words the lawyer spoke brought me back to the present. Jamie had wanted me to preside at his funeral. He also wanted his burial to be open to all his adoring fans. Also that I was to escort any interested parties on a tour of his estate. Anyone still in the house the next morning would inherit his estate all the rights to publish his last book.

So bring your interest in a good story and steel yourself for a journey stranger that Alice through the looking glass. I assure you Jamie Calderline has saved the best for last! I will be waiting for you in the Calderline family plot.

Sincerely,
Dr. M Gosling
