ALLOCATIONS
General Information

The Community, Planning and Allocations Committee (C-PAC) serves as a link between dollars raised and their return to needed services in our community. The six service panels are structured around agency programs. These panels are:

  • Public Policy
  • Reaching Families and Individuals
  • Independence for the Elderly and Disabled
  • Nurturing Families
  • Meeting Emergency Needs
  • Family & Youth Development

The United Way of Wyoming Valley has the important responsibility of allocating contributor dollars wisely, fairly and effectively. A successful process for allocating funds is based upon several fundamental principles:

  • Final decisions about funding should be made by volunteers
  • Agencies that receive support must provide needed servicesand be fiscally accountable
  • Funds should be awarded fairly

Community volunteers consider needs and review agency requests to determine levels of support for needed programs. This unique process of citizen review represents the strength of the United Way.

If you are interested in becoming an allocations volunteer, please respond to Linda Ross, Vice President of Community Planning and Allocations.
