Adult & Family Services - Provides counseling to impact on those problems confronted by adults of all ages.
Court Advocate - Forensic drug and alcohol assessment and counseling program for adults and adjudicated juveniles.
Children's Service Center
Outpatient Services - Provides individual and group psychotherapy and/or drug therapy; crisis intervention, guidance and counseling for parents with or without the child's participation if the child is an infant or severely emotionally disabled.
Domestic Violence Service Center
Adult Counseling - Provides support services to battered women who are either residents of the shelter or hotline callers. Includes counseling, accompaniment and advocacy.
Emergency Shelter - Provides safe, temporary shelter for battered women and their minor children.
Family Service Association
Guardianship - Provides guardianship for adults adjudicated by the court to be incapacitated.
Community Education and Outreach - Works to prevent family problems by using their group educational process to develop coping skills for the normal stresses of various stages of family life.
Professional Counseling - Promotes healthy personality development and improved coping skills to families under stress.
Help Line - Information and Referral, advocacy, and after hours emergency services. Brings members of the community and needed services together as efficiently and rapidly as possible.
Jewish Family Services
Counseling - Provides therapeutic counseling programs for family life issues, promoting independence in problem solving, and financial assistance.
Family Life Education - Directs educational programs to strengthen family life and prevent family breakdown. Provides mutual support and insight about family life through small group discussions.
Victim's Resource Center
Sexual Assault Support - Provides direct services to victims of rape and/or sexual assault such as crisis intervention support; individual and group counseling; police, court and hospital accompaniment; and advocacy.
Wyoming Valley Alcohol and Drug Services
Partial Hospitalization - Provides education and therapy to individuals and families suffering from substance abuse/addiction problems. Program is for individuals needing more than weekly sessions but not in need of in-patient treatment.
Out-Patient - Provides individual and group counseling for persons addicted to alcohol and/or drugs and their families. |
